Amazon Development Centre: Xbox Software Development Engineers

Amazon Development Centre are seeking talented .NET developers to join our XBox team in London . You’ll be part of the development team who are engineering next generation video applications for the Microsoft console. The successful candidate will take pride in the work they deliver and have a passion for application development.

As part of the team developing Xbox video applications, you will be working on a wide range of activities, ranging from front-end UI template creation to back-end component coding and data integration.

You’ll have the opportunity to work within a modern MVVM framework that takes advantage of the latest .NET principles, while also helping to shape future developments the team are investigating such as new UI paradigms to provide more immersive user experiences, together with tools, test harnesses and automated scripts that increase dev cycle efficiency.

You should have a University degree in Computer Science (or relevant overseas equivalent) and solid experience in the following:

* .NET and C#

* Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or Silverlight

* XAML, XML and JSON

* Experience with MVVM, IoC, Smooth Streaming, PlayReady, Kinect

* Knowledge of Photoshop and Expression Blend

* A good creative eye with an understanding of UI principles for the TV

* Experience of developing on Xbox
